Wood's poetry is concerned with nature. Informed by current conversations about climate change, he writes out of his experience and the archive creating illusive and allusive landscapes that draw on a wide variety of poetic sources. Since 'In the Desert' was published in 2013, his work has appeared in Australian and international journals including: Southerly, Cordite, Mascara, Lunar, Plumwood Mountain. Wood is currently at work on a book length poem that engages with myth, dream, mabarn, the suburbs, love, war, family, hope and hell. It is an experimental vocalisation that maps out new poetic territory in a compelling story.
